I'm currently running my tank without a skimmer,
40B with sump and fuge. Fuge is lit with a kessil H380 for 5 hours a day. Nitrates and phosphates hovering undetectable.
Can i successfully run the triton method with this tank? alternatively i could possibly split the fuge and run a small skimmer in the fuge section.

The "TRITON Method" has specific components (https://www.triton.de/en/triton-method-slide) so anything outside of this is considered "Other Method". Nothing to say it will or won't work and you can use TRITON products regardless. The beauty of TRITON ICP-OES Lab testing and N-DOC Lab testing is that however you run your reef aquarium and whatever products you use, you have the ability to see what affect it has on your water parameters and adjust accordingly. Full transparency!
