So... we upgraded the 125g (29g sump) we used to have, to a 220g w/75g sump! It was started 03/16!! We are a couple of weeks in!
Had to brace the floor too! Our new tank is acrylic with a built-in overflow and refugium. We are its second owners. You will see the lovely 80's look of the stand and hood before, we completely re-did them.

Here's how it looks as of today....

And here's how it started!

Thanks Davesgt!!

Unfortunately, my semi-large beautiful Naso did not make the transition. Tank was up and running Sunday night, and by Friday he was acting very strange. Woke up Saturday morning to him passed away on the sand. The kids and I were pretty devastated, he was at least 6 years old.

Finally assembled but not what it is today yet...Still a little cloudy

Very sorry for your loss, I know moving is pretty stressful from first hand experience. I haven't had any saltwater fish die but I have 2 freshwater plecos pass away in a tank swap, and they just so happened to be my most expensive

Thanks mike007!!
Lots more pics to come. Videos too!!!
Just upgraded the powerheads now have 2 Jebao WP40's at each end, L end is at 100% and rt is at 75%. (Also have another old ugly PH hiding under the refugium but it still works great and keeps that spot from being dead) I like running them in Else mode! I have an Apex controller that I LOOOOVE!

We will have to replace the skimmer soon, its a Coralife for 225g but it is still doing a great job after my hubby got it tuned in. Another PH and 3 heaters in the sump. Also have a Phosban reactor in the sump, right now running Chemi-pure to get rid of the leftovers after the move. Going to switch back to GFO soon. Clip light over the sump and chaeto algae. Return pump is a Sparkle Dragon 9000. Its a controllable DC pump, and is Zetlight's rebranding of the Jebao 9000 dc pump with a red/orange cover instead of blue, and a different looking control.

For now we have 2 T5 fixtures that we used on the 125g. Its just not enough though because its lacking in the depth (front-to-back) and I JUST ordered a new Kessil A360WE yesterday! Waiting on it to make its way here to IL from Marine Depot in CA! I know we will need more but before we commit to covering the tank with them I want to make sure we like it.

Thank you skinz78!!
Sorry if the videos are a little choppy. I took them with my phone. I will take some better 1080p HD video with my actual camera after we hook up the Kessil.
here's some more pics! Going to add some refugium mud and mangroves to that refugium soon also. Sailfin has to be in every pic lol!

Thank you Jackie!!! :) can't wait to see it!

Just FYI to all.... I am no noob at this because I have no SPS.... I do not like SPS, I like coral that moves!
(It's lovely to look at in other tanks!) it's just mine and my family's preference.

Thanks Trido!!

BlueZReef, thanks!! ... it has split 4 different times now over the last three years besides the 3 I have, I've sold 3 already LOL. My clowns LOVE them but if they split again I will sell. I don't want more than 3 at a time.

Finally got a lot of that white hard algae scraped off the back wall. It was driving me NUTS and now you can see the rock scape on that side SO much better!!! I'll have to take some new pics/video tomorrow.

My new Kessil arrived in Decatur, IL earlier... Hoping to get it by Monday???
