Do not use Metro unless absolutely necessary. It has to be applied precisely by weight (.5 gm) and make the food taste bitter. You can use API general cure which has trace of metro and formalin

Peroxide slows healing and in some cases as an antiseptic causes issues. Humblefish had a recommendation 2 years ago and is merely the equivalent of FW dip which offers temporary relief and not a cure

Actually instead I will just do a FW dip and then transfer to a qt and dose metroplex. I can't do formalin because I don't have access to it. Could you provide some other options? Or is metroplex my only option for curing the fish.

Just saw your message, so you are saying to you use API general cure? How should this be done? Do I just dose the API general cure or do I need to add it to the food or what? Also for the FW dip, I just put the clowns in tap water for 5 min? Then, take them out and put them into a qt?

It says it has metro but doesn't say anything about formalin on the second image near the bottom.

Do 10-14 days.

General cure is metro and prazi (not formalin). I would prefer not to use one that has both meds and go for just metro if you can.

I would FW dip before into QT unless the fish is so sick it won't survive the dip. You can remove the fish from the dip early if you notice struggling.

Yes, unfortunately many of these things are not available locally so it is all easier said than done when we need to treat asap :(

Ruby reef rally is another good dip but again.. I think it is mostly sold online. I know chewy has it.

Basically we are just using FW dip instead of formalin or ruby dip since they are not available.

Right now I am doing a FW dip and into a QT tank until I have the metroplex, and he's definitely strong enough to handle the dip.

You should treat both clowns, its very contagious. I honestly can't tell from the video if it is brook but if you see excess mucus, that is key.

Please make sure to keep an eye on both fish the entire time, and remove at the first sign of struggling! Even the healthiest of fish will struggle. Just keep a close eye on them!

I mean he has the cloudy eye and the spots which are signs of Brook and they both has the small white spots

And metro should arrive by friday so I start dosing that? Anything else I need?
