So, I've been in the hobby for 4 years now. I started with a 2nd hand 55gal with some old equipment. I upgraded over time to a new 55 with LED lighting, canister filter and a bakpak skimmer. However this tank is at my parents place and they have slowly fallen in love with it. I am moving and decided to leave it with them. My new apartment is small so i have decided to do a biocube. Tanks on order. Base rock shopping tomorrow. Stay tuned for pics as it takes shape over the next few months!
Also, suggestions on coral compatible with stock LED biocube?

I've had pretty good luck with lobos, acans, favia, scolys and leathers in mine. Did an upgrade to a Sicce 2.0 btw and run Chemi-Pure Blue, Purigen and Seachem Matrix in stock basket.
Good set up for the money IMO.

Thanks for the tip. Im sure upgrades will come. Zoas are my favorite, im hoping they do well. I am a leather fan as well. I thought it was a good value. I don't have the space for a bigger tank and don't want to spend big bucks on a small system. When i eventually get a house I plan on going big. Like 300 or 400 gallons. Id rather spend a little on a small tank for now and save for the big one later.

I have zoas and mushrooms that are spreading at the bottom of my biocube 32. I have 2 caps about midway up that are growing like crazy. I have a chalice and birdsnest at the top that are all alive and doing well.
Other corals that are thriving - xenia, frogspawn, hammer, stars, and a blasto.
