Tubs stellata wont encrust

Hey guys! Anyone got some advice to get this coral to start growing? Params etc are all good and other corals (montis, acros, stylo, pavona) are growing and entrusting yet this one has stayed stagnant. It has grown but only in polyp size and numbers. Look at it! This thing is a beast and loaded with way more polyps than pictures I see of others.

My only idea is that the glue on bottom is holding it back.

Thoughts?

It gets some pretty decent flow I think other than hurricane force flow lol. Heres the placement dead middle

Kinda funny I came across this, I have one too, never seems to grow like my other corals. All my acros and montis grow like crazy, but the stellata does not. I have mine in higher light higher flow. It has doubled in size, but I have had it for 2 years, way less growth than another SPS ive had.

I'd vote on more nutrients for faster growth. I feed my system heavy and tubs grows very quickly.

Just altered the flow a bit and pretty happy with it. Gonna see how it responds. Had to have it turned down because of our frogspawn which we gave to the lfs recently

Sounds like lack of nitrates isn't the issue. I based my guess on the pristine clean rocks and sand. What are you feeding? Do you know your phosphates?

Everybody has one coral that does nothing for them. I strongly suggest that you do not chase this one coral to the detriment of the rest.

That tank looks pretty new. Have no expectations for about a year - I know that nobody wants to hear this and they think that they can be one of the exceptions, but the truth is that most people struggle with SPS in that first year of a new tank when you look at the whole body of work.

Feed fish once a day and a second feeding every other day. Phos at .03 and the the substrate is clean cause I just vacuumed it in the pic.

Yeah I'm not chasing. I'll give it another month before I move it to a different spot.
