How well would the 6015 hold up in a wave maker application? I plan on using a reef angel controller. I am concerned with noise and reliability.

I believe that pump was not intended to be used with a wave maker and would not last very long if so.

what would be a good alternative, i want between 500 and 700 gph. what pumps are designed for wave makers

For that flow I would say hydors evos. I use them and have held up well.
