Trying the tunze 9001 (non dc model) again, the air tube randomly comes of the pump body, is there a knack to keeping it on there or is this just something it does.? Was working fine, never touch it but it stopped producing any bubbles at all, removed the pump replaced the air tubing on the pump, started working again…

You should be able to take it apart and reattach the hose no problem.
Yeah I did that, its happened a fee times now, just wondering if I’m missing something.

I might try completely cleaning it and letting its surface dry before reattaching the hose. If you feel that the end of the silicone hose is stretched, you could trim it back a quarter of an inch.

Its not the tube, its the 4 winged disc that sits in the pump, the tube is attached to that, that is what keeps coming off…I’m guessing its not meant to be permanently attached to the pump body to allow cleaning, weird that it keeps coming loose.

I know the piece. Make sure you’re assembling it correctly. I wanna say that’s friction fit. You could grab the instructions from Tunze website

I have never had mine slip off unless I was jostling the tube somehow. It’s not a very snug fit.

An idea for you…put a little stub of standard airline on the nipple to make the nipple diameter bigger, then force the Tunze airline tube over that. The stock tube is nice and supple, I am thinking it will stretch over the nipple+ and hold tight.

It’s the actual four winged plastic piece the tube attaches too, that then sits on top of the pump, that is what is coming off:,, I’ll get a picture

Oh! Got it. Never had that come off.

Best bet is to ask Roger in the Tunze forum here on R2R.
