Just turned on a new to me Tunze 9410 DOC 9410 Skimmer. So for seems to be producing some decent skimmate but the outlet flow is really high. Is this normal? I know on the DC version you can turn down the pump but don't have that option.

You just need to adjust the water level in the skimmer neck down a bit and then you'll get thicker (less watery) crap in your collection coup.
I guess the problem is I don't know how to do that. :) In the DC version of this skimmer there is a pump controller to reduce flow, but this one doesn't have it. It just seems like the pump is too powerful.

You may have to physically raise or lower the skimmer to adjust the water level.
