Tunze Care Magnet Handle Modification!

Hey guys, I made this recent modification to my Tunze Care Magnet. I have no idea why they made the grip so small, especially for the price you pay. Easy 5 minute $10 modification and cleaning my glass is way more enjoyable! Let me know what you think :)

Sadly it broke off after two days. I might try again, doing some rough sanding to give the glue a better grip

what kind of glue did you use? Ill probably try 2 part epoxy if you used CA.

I used the Gorilla epoxy, just like in the video. The epoxy stuck to the handle but disconnected from the magnet.

Ah I see, epoxy is pretty strong, so I wouldn't know what to use outside of that... let me know how it goes after better surface prep.

Nice mod! Completely agree ... how thin the grip is makes it so difficult to maneuver, especially in a tank like yours where you cover so much area.

This is cool but Tunze has the care booster grip mods out now. I am pretty sure that it comes standard with new care cleaners.

This was definitely ahead of its time.
