If the impeller pops back up, then the little yellow/green bushing might be upside down. Make sure that's in place and that the dimple side is up (facing the impeller).

That's actually a good idea.... any retailers stock these in Canada or the US? @rvitko

You could always email Dan at MOPS. He's very efficient when it comes to sourcing odd bits and pieces, among other things. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences dealing with the man; the service is definitely above and beyond.

How can I get the Tunze Stream 3 pump to work on 3/4" glass?

The new model comes with 3/4 inch mounts. I have the old magnets rated for 1/2 but have them on 5/8 glass

Can you point me to the new model? I looked at a couple vendors and they all say 2/3" max thickness.

There is now a Stream 3+, this model comes equipped with the stronger magnets. So far no mail order companies have brought it in, I do have them in the warehouse though, You could try a local dealer, or Premium Aquatics or Aquarium Specialty both will drop ship them, model 6150.001.

The standard Stream 3 magnet is rated to 2/3" glass, which is a non existent size and due to a metric conversion. It should hold on 5/8", 2/3" is .67, 5/8" is .63. but the hold will be looser than I would personally prefer. If you use the magnets for 3/4" glass, either by upgrading the magnets to 6025.500 or by purchasing the Stream 3+ which includes the stronger magnets as standard you will definitely have no issues.

Look like the OP is using the standard Stream 3 on 5/8" glass, hope they will hold.

No one in US and Canada is selling the Stream 3+. I have sent an email to Xenia and am still waiting for reply.

In the US we sell them on Amazon, they are in stock in our warehouse. I do not know availability in Canada.
