I have 3 6020s, 2 of which keep locking up on start up (I run them in 3 hour intervals to mix up the stream using an apex classic).

It appears that on start up the water flow jams them into the bushings.

I replaced the bushings and props thinking that was the issue, but it continues, I have to stick my finger in their to free them up and finesses them to freely spin. Additionally, If I pull them out of the water I can get them and slowly submerge them and they wont lock up.

So I have to keep these on and then manually turn the off and then back on when I feed (defeating the feed program in the apex and limit my ability to change the flow).

I do clean them regularly (2x month).

any troubleshooting ideas to get these to work as designed?

How long have they been in use? The usual culprit is calcium build up on the metal shaft and hole in the drive unit, cleaning this requires disassembly prior to soaking in vinegar/water.
