Was looking to buy one for my 20 AIO. I have limited experience with tunze.

I've had a couple of 6040s for years. No problems at all. They are nice little pumps with lots of options for as tiny as they are.

I've run them all kinds of ways, directional shroud on and off, wave mode, modified shroud where I cut about 50% of the semicircle off to make the water exit at a less acute angle. Typically I don't link two together and use the inverse mode. I like to run them both independently with a 5 second pulse from 20% to 100%. The minute difference in the pulse times causes the pumps to slowly and constantly change from sometimes pulsing together to pulsing opposite each other.
