I've tried to keep turbos a few times but I can never get them to last even a week. They move around and eat for a few days then they stop moving and eventually die. There is plenty of algae for them to eat and my params seem fine

Calcium 440ppm
dKH 9
Nitrate 0
Phos 0

The Phos and Nitrate is 0 due to the algae I believe.

Same here. I bought 5 orange turbos total, 3 in one shipment and 2 in the following shipment, all died within days. They came from online seller. Trochius, bumblebees, dove snails are all fine.

I always steered away from turbo snails, until this tank. I bought two trochus turbos and they did great for a while. Then one stopped moving and would fall off the rocks. I eventually took him out so he wouldn’t die in my tank. The other is still happy and growing strong.

I just feel that turbos don’t do well in a home aquarium, and it’s really luck of the draw.

I can visibly see the foot shrink. I can absolutely see them not being suited for tank life

I’ve gotten lucky I bought 2 when I first started adding clean up crew on my now 5 month old nano and they’re still doing their thing. I feel like they’re very hit or miss. On older systems I’ve had mixed results with them

I got mine from my LFS too. Maybe they don’t have enough time at the LFS before I got them
Could be. Sometimes like was mentioned above, they are the wrong ones. Mexican turbos are from cooler water and have a hard time above 78. Or maybe you have some contaminate? Hard to say that though, i would think all the inverts would be showing stress, but you never know. If that is a worry chuck in a 'polyfilter'. Quotes to make sure to specify the name brand one that is supposed to pull metals and other gunk.
