TV Mount for Lights?

In the process of planning my new build. Have an idea that I would like my DIY LED hood to be moveable, for tank maintenance mostly. I've been brainstorming and thought that an wall mount for a flat screen TV could provide vertical and horizontal movement. Has anybody tried this?

I've seen a bunch of people using tv wall mounts for led fixtures.
Pretty cool looking.
