Hello!

As the move to my new tank gets closer, I’ve run into an issue I need to solve. My tank is practically all Euphyllia, and most of them are thriving—great growth, vibrant colors, and everything is doing really well… except for two. A hammer and a frogspawn.

I got both of them at the same time from the same seller, who had to rehome a few heads due to space issues. They were doing great for the first few months, but now they’re declining more and more each day. I’ve already moved them to a lower light, lower flow area, but there’s been no improvement.

My parameters are consistent and in line with what’s worked for the rest of the tank, so I’m really stumped. It’s also odd that it’s just those two, both from the same source.

Does anyone have any tips? I’d rather not lose them, but I’m also worried about introducing any potential issues into my new tank.

Have you tried dipping them before?
Is there anything that could potentially be bothering them?

I dipped them when I got them a while ago. I’ve decided to toss the black one as it kept getting worse and worse and I really can’t use BJD in my Euphyllia tank… I inspected the coral but noticed nothing weird. The other one I got from the same source is also getting worse and worse. All other Euphyllia’s are doing perfect! Only thing I can imagine is my clown trying to get hosted, but I’d expect them to get better after moving them.

Maybe they aren’t happy / adjusted to the location. Could prefer lower flow or lighting. Or higher
