Tyree Golden Eye Chalice ??

I picked up this chalice from my LFS. They tell me that it is the Tyree Golden Eye Chalice. I did a Google search and it does look like some of the pictures I found. What do you think ??

Yeah it don't look like the golden eye I have one it's a dusty pink looking color lol...

I disagree. You were still given incorrect information by your LFS which should not be acceptable. Nomatter how much you spent on a piece.

+1 man. That's BS even if you paid $5 for it. They are selling something with a name that's clearly wrong. This is my pet pieve with a lfs around me. They have Japanese btas and Cuban mushrooms.... really its all a crock to make sales and is bad business.

Of course ya'll are right about them mislabeling it, I am not thrilled about being duped due to lack of knowledge. I do hope that it is and it will color back up in my tank. I will be around some better stores in a couple months when I move down to Ft. Lauderdale.

I have one like that. Purple with green eyes. Not a golden eye.

After seeing that reference pic from WWC I don't have much hope now. I will speak to the owner of the store next time I go and see what the problem is. He wasn't there yesterday. Thanks for all the help.

That is a golden eye from WWC. That is not the golden eye that people refer to as the Tyree golden eye.

I got my tyree golden eye directly from mark poletti he is the one who gave it to tyree fwiw.... Ill see if I can get a pic of mine... If not search tyree golden eye on here poletti had a few threads with great pics of it

The mislabeling is annoying. I quess some people would say "well it was only blank blank dollars so I do not feel bad". But the issue is false advertisement. It hurts the person who bought the item thinking they have something they do not and the LFS who has the real item he has to sell at a higher price because it is the real item. The base colors can be altered with lighting but I think the eyes color will not change from green to yellow no matter the lighting.

I have seen both tyree and wwc golden eye and wwc I thought had a better base color. I also love wwc golden eye watermelon.

That is the golden galaxy not golden eye.

Well I talked to the owner of my LFS store yesterday and he is assured me that it is a Tyree Golden Eye that I purchased. He showed me his personal colony and it looks a lot like this one below. The only difference is that his has even more pink highlights on the peaks. Kind of like pink dust I am not going to keep :horse: on this subject but I wanted to update my findings. Time will tell.
