Man you must be doing something right ..awesome is this the first time you have had it spawn or the first time you got it on film? Any other corals doing this?
This was the first time I actually witnessed it with anything other then a pocillopora, which I had a while back that would spawn pretty often. Its the first time I had a stag spawn in my tank that I am aware of.
Yeah, the main colony was spawning first which is in the beginning of the video but by the time I got the camera it had stopped and you could only see it in the water column. Then I noticed the smaller one on the other side of the tank was still spawning so I took pics of that one. Interesting that they were both spawning at the same time.
Awesome! When these things happen you just have to go with it... red lego and all... =D
It's fascinating to me that this coral has been in captivity for quite some time, and many generations of frags... yet something you did made it spawn. Not too many reefkeepers can say that.
I've been in the hobby 18 years and in my tanks i've had many species of snails, green star polyp, Tridacna maxima, and T. squamosa spawn... but never any SPS.
