Underwater Camera Lense

Hello. I am interested in stepping up my photography skills, the other day I was at my lfs and I knit iced them sticking the camera lense in the water to get a primo shot, it looked like there was a cover or something over the lense, it was a dslr camera. I have s Nikon D60 I'm wondering where the heck I can find me one of those fancy covers or is it a special lense? Thank you
