Hey everyone!

Long story short. I have a torch coral that was very happy in my tank and then I left for vacation and came back to one of my lights broken. My parameters were slightly elevated as well. I did a water change and changed my light. Ever since I came back my torch has looked unhappy. Is there anything anyone can think of as to why? Everything else looks good but maybe he is still stressed and adjusting to the new light. Let me know your thoughts. I’m still relatively new to reefing and am trying to keep my first torch coral

If all parameters are good and nothing else has changed other than the lighting, it might still be acclimating. Torches can be finicky and sometimes do things for no apparent reason. Sometimes it's a fish that just got into its mind that it's now time to pick on the torch.
Hold the course and keep monitoring. Others might have some better insight.

It doesn’t look too bad and it is probably unhappy from the period of low light. Watch closely for any brown jelly disease if it gets worse, because if it melts from bjd you will want to treat the tank with ciprofloxacin asap because bjd can slowly spread and take out lps corals once it gets established.

I don’t think you will get bjd based upon your picture but I think it is worth while to stockpile cipro if you’re going to be keeping lps
