Hello all

just found many baby snails like that one. Good? bad? Pest?

Could you please help me to identify our little friends?

Thanks and regards!

Do you a pc with the snout out? Could be a welk which is not a good reef snail. If the snout is solid black it is a nassarius which is good, but if the snout has different shades on the snout, looking kind of tattooed, it is a welk.

This!
The shell kinda looks like a whelk.
I think the Nassarius shells are smoother.
But the snout is a dead give away.

Most likely the Lettered Dove Snail - harmless/beneficial CUC if so.
It is a Columbellid/Dove Snail (Dove Snail being the common name for snails from the taxonomic family Columbellidae) - in this case, it's the Dotted/Lettered Dove Snail, Euplica scripta.

The shell pattern and color for these are highly variable, so I'd suggest looking over quite a few specimens before deciding if you think it's a match or not.
