So I have some cheato in my refugium along with a bio brick which has green hair algae on it but now I have this long stringy stuff, not sure what it is. It almost looks like cheato but grows from the bottom of the sump.

It could be Chaetomorpha that has developed a holdfast or possibly one of the Ulva species that used to be classified under the genus Enteromorpha, though it is hard to tell without clearer images.

Is it the angle hair chaeto? I recently got some and when the person gave it to me, I thought about chucking it because it looked like gha. However, it had a more a solid texture and held shape out of water.
