Hello! I currently have a a 60 gallon (2+ years), HOB everything and no sump. I bought an SCA 112 with a 30 gallon sump and a 10 gallon ato reservoir as a 5th chamber. Also comes with a herbie overflow.

I will be using all of my 50 lbs of live rock and another 80 pounds of dry rock from Billys Reef Supply. I bought Fiji pink live sand (I currently have a larger mm sand that I'm not impressed with).

We had to break down the old tank and move it to make room for the new aquarium. That was a pain, and we lost one fish (got bullied to death... Jerks).

2 Anthias, 3 clowns and a foxface. 2 peppermint shrimp, a fighting conch and a few cuc.

I left room on the left side of the tank for my live rock, and I'll put other LR around in other areas.

It's going to look nice! I noticed the egg crate, I assume it's to protect the glass? I have never used it, will it cause any problems cleaning or cause any bad stuff to get trapped in, or restrict sand grazers from doing their job? Just curious, because I'm close to adding sand and rock to my setup.

I used it because some of my rock seemed really really heavy, and the eggcrate made it feel way more stable. You definitely don't have to though, I feel like it's split 50/50 on who uses it and who doesn't. I bought about 110lbs of sand, so I'll still have a good depth of sand for any sifters.

At this point, I'm fairly certain I won't have any burrowing fish.... If I were thinking of getting one, I would have only put the egg crate under the points of the rock, and left everything else open. Some people think it traps detritus, but others say they never noticed anything.

My old tank had no eggcrate and my rocks were super super.
