Upgrading...new sand options

I am going to have a not to deep (maybe 1.5")sand bed. I have some beautiful ocean rocks (2 to 3 " tall that I plan on using to make a border around my rock scape that will be pushed against the back as to have as much exposure to the front as possible. The plan is to have a PH pointed behind the back to keep gentle flow and I know some sand may get back there but if I do it correct, It should basically stay sand free and have air flow. So all the sand will be in the front 2/3 of my tank..
Sound logical? If not why? I have seen a 200 g established tank that looked great and that was set with all rock work pushed to back.

So I am deciding between Fiji pink ( which doesn't really look all that pink but its nice) and Bahama Oolote which is a sugar size granules and looks like beautiful white sandy beach sand..
Anyone have experience with Oolte?
Getting sand this weekend so would love to hear different opinions. Also open to other ideas!

I have the Fiji pink and your right it is not pink. However, I will not be using it in my next tank. Imo the sand is too fine and blows around to easily. Not sure what I will use yet but I will definitely get a larger size grain.

Does it stay in place or does it blow around easily?

I haven't had issues with it blowing around. I have a 75 and at one point I was playing with my gyre XF 130 at full speed and a jebao WP40. I didn't get a sandstorm.

Thanks guys! I'm leaning toward Oolte . It looks so soft and clean.. Though I know it wont stay that way. I wished the Fiji pink and a pinkish hue. It would look good.. I wanted Hawaiian black so badly originally for something different but I can't risk scratching my new tank! Anyone hear of a solid black that is not magnetized? I have asked around but nobody knows..

no it is just a sunny d. My wife took the pic with her phone camera and used one of the filters or formats on it to make it look like that. I wished it really looked that way in my tank.

My update...

I found a sand that a bit larger than Oolite and its a golden color. Actually looks a bit like the sand with detritus on top! LOL but in a pretty way! I was thinking this may not show the dirt as much. We will see1 Looks really nice in the bag.
