I am the proud new owner of a Proclear 230 system.

Dims are 72X26X24 so roughly 190 gallon display with the remainder being sump and plan to mainly do SPS.

I got a heck of a deal from another hobbyist that never put water in it and sold it to me for 1500, I have been water testing it for 3 days now and everything is running well.
I am about to purchase a 110 pounds of dry rock and start breaking it apart to being creating a new scape.
I will end up buying more after that but don't have a ton of space to store a lot of rock.

I have three main topics of discussion:

1.
I am currently running a heavily stocked SPS and Euphyllia 75 gallon that has been running for 4 years.
I currently manage Ich with a UV sterilizer and I am treating the tank with daily syphoning and with FW exit. These are Acoel flat worms and I know they don't technically harm corals but I would like to not take them with me to the new tank. My Melanurus wrasse is lazy and doesn't actually eat them.
I have a 30 gallon tank that has been running for a year that I tossed a TINY powder blue in for the time being as I do not want to Reinfect it with Ich before it goes into the big tank. Before the tang police come after me, I bought this mew tank for it and the 30 is temporary. How do I go about transferring my corals and live rock from my current display without ich transferring into the new tank? I assume I kick start the new tank with some of the live rock from my clean 30 gallon to start the cycle and then put my other fish in QT from the 75 and let the live rock and corals in my current display run fallow for 80 days?

2.
What budget wave maker would you recommend?
I was thinking two gyres at the start on each side then continue to add over time.

3. Fish stocking ideas:
Current stock:
1.melanurus wrasse
2.Tomini tang
3. Two pairs of clown fish - 1 set in each tank I currently run
4. Coral beauty angel
5. Powder Blue
Current ideas for future additions:
1. Regal angel (captive bred)
2. Copperband
3. Yellow tang (captive bred)
4. Convict tang
5. Sailfin
6. Yellow tail tamarin wrasse
7. I want an Achilles but I don't think I can do both so I will have to choose (until I convince my wife to let me go to a 9 footer, LOL).
8. Earmuff Wrasse
9. China Wrasse
10. leopard wrasse

Is the 30g ich and pest free? If so, use it as a quarantine tank to treat and transfer fish and live rock. Live rock first obviously.

Yeah, it is ich free. Storing the powder in it for now. I have a 40 breeder I use for QT tank. I usually move some of the media from the back of the 30 gallon to seed my QT tank.

I would recommend not going budget on the wave makers. I have the ProClear 200 and two MP40s. They do an incredible job.

Also, no Achilles…

Yeah probably going to skip the Achilles for now. I’ve heard some really good success stories in 6 footers like mine but also horror stories. Definitely not going to win with a powder blue in it.

Have you seen the knock off mp40s by Jecod?

I have. I haven’t used them though. I went cheap on lights (Nicrew) and expensive on flow. Personal preference, I suppose. But flow is always more difficult for me to get right.

I have the new Hydra edge 44s and man they have exploded my growth but I have been using Hygger wave makers. I’ve always wanted MPs but I have such a hard time spending money on wave makers. Maybe I’ll stop being cheap this go around.

Do you buy extra wet sides or just clean one set?

I run (4) mp40s on the back wall and two gyres for cross flow in my sps tank and none of them ever run at 100% but still provide strong random flow. Overkill on size and power of equipment without using full power will result in longevity of these expensive pieces of equipment. At least I hope lol. One extra wet side is plenty so your tank doesn’t miss a beat while ur cleaning them. Unless you don’t want to clean one at a time.
