Does anyone keep a Pencil Urchin with a Sea Cucumber? I am adding a Sea Cucumber to my tank soon and I want to make sure there's nothing that will trigger it to nuke the tank. Current inhabitants in my 60 gallon are:

4 Seahorses
10 Scarlet Hermits
Dozens of Cerith, Nassarius, and Trochus snails
1 Multi Banded Pipefish
1 Dragon Face Pipefish
6 Masked Shoaling Gobies
2 Strawberry Conches
1 Pencil Urchin

Looks all good to me. I would be careful with the pencil urchin and rock boreing though.

I can testify that at least some cucumbers are compatible with some urchins.

I highly recommend trying the rock boring urchin. I have 2 in my 40g breeder tank along with a small yellow sea cucumber that I collected in the Florida Keys (very legally). They have lived together for several years now. I've given up on all the other urchins as they like to pick up anything that is remotely loose in the tank, including coral frags that aren't glued down! My rock boring urchins move around some, but not anywhere nearly as much as other urchins I've had. And they do not tend to pick up things to use as camouflage.

Update - I added the sea cucumber and it immediately climbed the glass where it has been hanging out near the seahorse trough. One of my horses is currently using it as a hitching post. What could go wrong??? 😅💣
