Urchin Spawning

Caught one of my Royal Urchins releasing eggs. It was so focused on getting to the highest spot to broadcast it's eggs almost crawled out of the tank. :D

You can actually induce urchin spawning by injecting them with a potassium chloride solution. I wonder if any hobbyist has ever tried.

@ Fishy212, In my systems I usually have several but different species. This system is a 220 and has two, one Tuxedo and this Royal

@ BloopFish, I've never tried to intentionally induce spwaning. However, besides spawning with no apparent outside stimulus I often see spawning induced by adding reshwater to replace evaporation or spawning stimulated with samll water changes.

seems like just dropping them in cold water will do it as well often
