Used Vortech vs new Vortech?

I never owned one of these great pumps and was wondering whether you prefer buying a new one or getting a used one for approx $300?

The condition is excellent for used item, could be a gamble.

I just depends on what version it is, is it gen 2 and have the Wireless wavemaker or just a plain one. Plus the newer ones have a different shaft for the wetside. I prefer to buy things new mainly because of the warranty

I bought mine used but I knew the guy I got it from pretty well... and it was BARELY used...
