UV filter recommendation: size, brand, setup et

I've owned a couple in the past but those were Lifeguards for a like a fishroom...now I need one for a 4ft 150G w/seahorses...I'm thinking I will be using it mostly for microbial/bacterial (dreaded vibrio, blah blah)... will a less expensive Sino/Amazon brand work? has anyone used a "brandx" UV and does it use std UV bulbs? Should I get a Apex flowmeter? what size, flow, et ....
appreciate any advise...

Cant speak to the amazon brand but with UV you get what you pay for. Pentair aquatics or aqua UV are solid performers but on the the pricer side. Make sure you size up 3x recommended tank volume for it to be more effective. Slow down the flow rate accordingly to what you're trying to accomplish.

I quiet like and have the DD UVC’s their very simple to use and setup

I have the 20w version in my S650 and the 80w in my new system and as said above just get one with plenty of power so it’s more effective

Im trying to figure out the details of that form factor under my sump ... but yeah pentagram/Lifeguard stuff last forever it seems
