UV leds on Hydras

Has anyone found the uv leds on the hydra26hd or the 52hd to actually do anything, good or bad, to corals? My guess is they have little effect, no matter what they are run at, but would like to know if I should turn them down, or off.

Uv makes the coral looks much more shining if you turn on it.
