I know there are many threads in regards to diffusers but curious if anyone is using these on a 310 Planet Aquariums tank. The tank is 8' wide with two braces. I can clearly see where the light converges where the braces are showing where the "hotspots" are. I am currently running 7 lights so a little hesitant to spend $30-$40 ea. on 7 diffusers without hearing my fellow reefers opinions. I believe i am only about 8 inches up from the water surface due to the canopy. Any regrets after installing diffusers? Any recommendations on 3d printed diffusers for the hydras?

The "hotspots" are probably just visible due to the shadow of the braces. Have you used a PAR meter to actually see if there are hotspots? There is nothing wrong with hotspots and I would rather turn the intensity down a tad than use a diffuser that will definitely decrease PAR.

I'm thinking of getting this tank as well. Do you know the exact location of the internal overflow holes? I'm probably going with an aluminum stand and want to make sure of the clearance below.

Hey sorry for the late reply, not sure why i didnt see the notification. I do use a par meter. The main issue is likely my light spacing as well as height. If i could raise the lights up another 6 inches i doubt id have any issues. I did however end up putting the 3d reefing diffusers on and bumping up the intensity since i was only running the lighting at around 50% ish. Seems to have helped some. The real fix to blend the lighting and even it out would be raising the lights however the canopy prevents this. Thanks for the suggestion!
