UV Lights, what is best?

There are the UV lights that have the pump but there are also the UV lights that look like a big glass thermometer that you simply stick in the sump. How efficient are the ones that you stick in the sump that glow? I have a 120 gallon Aquarium. Attached is a picture of my tank. The focus and light is showing everything clearly.

IMO - toys

Saltwater adsorb UV-C very quickly. A good UV-C has only around 1-3 cm layer of water around it (between the protecting quartz glass and the reactor chamber wall) This is for very clean water with particle size below 1µ, Retention time is also important. If a "dip" lamp should be effective - require a very large energy requirement and the flow through the sump to very slow.
