I am getting a RSF 39 and planning on running a closed loop UV system. I will probably mount the actual UV on the top or bottom. That being said, I am looking for recommendations on how to plumb it.

I will have a second (controllable) pump to manage the flow. Would I start in chamber one and discharge to chamber 2? Or 2 to 3? I have also seen config from 2 back to 1

I would ideally like to keep the lids on all 4 of the sumps to keep things clean and quiet. The smaller holes on the sump are 1” in diameter I am told, which would be big enough to run 3/4 tubing through it for the pump and UV.

I forgot about this post. I haven’t got the tank and unit yet, but current plan is:

Run varios 4 pump from second chamber (skimmer). Plump a hose up vertically and mount UV on the top of the sump area. Then plumb the outtake into the fuge chamber.

I will probably need to drill some holes into the lid to fit the hoses.

I don’t know how that will impact overall flow and water levels in the sump.

Want to bump this thread because I am in the process of setting this up and not sure how exactly this is going to work.

I have a pump in chamber 2 (technically I think I can move it to chamber 1 if needed.

Challenges:
1) I have Aqua UV 25

2). There is barely any room on either side (left or right). Sump is huge

3) The top is just a thing rubber mat. I don’t want to screw anything into it.

I am really not sure the best place to put it. If I could somehow attach it to the top, I think I’d be Ok.

It would need to be positioned with the in/out barbs facing down, which I think is suboptimal.

Anyone else have ideas, outside of plumbing it
