UV sizing thread

So I was wondering what size UV I should get. I have a 10'x3'x2' tank with a 6x2x2 sump and was wondering what size UV to get. I'm going with pentair and I already bought the 80w but I didn't realize how huge it is (4ft long and 6 inch diameter) and while I might have room it's going to be tight and partially resting on the sump. Would the 57w from pentair be effective or should I really do the 80 and make it work. Not sure if recommended gallonage is with or without sump and I'm kind of in between the two

I would go with the 80W. Do you not have enough room behind the tank to sit it right on the floor, clamped in place? Assuming your tank is painted, it wouldn’t be seen.

Always oversized the UV Light! Plenty of upsides with no real downside.

Alright you guys convinced me, I'll find a way to make the 80w work! Unfortunately not enough room behind the tank since it's up against the wall. It'll have to go horizontal across the sump
