I currently have a biocube 32 with the coralife 5w sterilizer hooked into the return line which works great. I’m upgrading to a Redsea Max E260 next week. Can i hook the coralife uv in the Redsea return line. I realize I will probably have to install 3/8 to 1/2 fittings on the sterilizer to adjust for different size return hose. Will it restrict the return flow due to differen size return lines. And wii the 5w be big enough for new tank. I use the the uv primarily for water clarity.

I recommend targeting 1-watt UV per 10 gph of flow, combined with a tank turnover rate of 2-3x per hour. The 5w UV is very undersized in my opinion.

15-18w UV is my choice for 55-ish gallon tanks.

Aqua UV recommended 25W for my 90-gallon system so 15 for 55 gal sounds right. 5W would definitely be undersized.
