Varios Defaults to On

I'm building a mixing station and used a Varios-6 for the pump. However, it defaults to on when it gets plugged in. The instructions are... well... minimal lol. Anyone know of a way to make the pump default to off? I'm concerned about a power outage and when it comes back on it starts pumping.

well there is an easy way and a more expensive way. Could connect it to a gfci adapter with a manual reset. That would force you to actively restart outlet in a power outage prior to pump restarting. Other way would require controller either apex or hydros.
