Fascinating! Can't help but thin there's tons more going on down there! The earth's mantel might have two or three times the volume of water of all the oceans combined. If deep sea vents are spewing huge amounts of water then water has to be sucked into the sea floor somewhere and somehow. What are the geological processes moving water through the plates and mantel and what wierd (to us) and fascinating biology is living down there?!
