Hey all,

I have about a 6 month old Vertex Omega 150. Has been working great up until last week.

It appears to be making a lot of bubbles, but no skim...

Seems to be leaking micro bubbles from the output more than usual.

I've tried several adjustments besides the one at the nozzle of the sicce pump, which I haven't ever touched since it has worked great since first use.

It probably is in need of being cleaned in vinegar bath, but I can't imagine it would all of sudden stop skimming without any real significant adjustments.

Any suggestions?

Any new epoxy in the tank or anything oily?

Sounds to me like a foam collapse like mine does for a few hours after a water change.

I'd run some carbon and see if that helps.

No epoxy or oil. I thought it was a foam collapse but it's been about a week of no performance.

Looks like this weekend will be skimmer cleaning weekend!
