I like the last look you posted on the rocks
Me too. I may chip away some of the flat pedestal bases pieces and use the rubble to smooth out the lines . I saw this photo late in the process, but I may see how I can get closer its scheme.

@NashobaTek - what do you think about smoothing out that "V" between the pedestal and the other rock? I haven't figured out how to draw lines on photos, which is madness since I'm a software test geek.

Takin' what they're givin' cuz I'm working for a livin' (Apologies to Huey) Got the idea for a more layered depth look from an aquascape guru.. I have lots of rubble to work with so methinks I'll keep futzing.

take that pedestal rock and lay it on its side , flat side facing the back of the tank. you do two things you create a swim thru and hiding place . Put that in the middle. then place the other two on either side to your liking .
