So if i could get the lovely people of the breeding sub forum to give my video a watch. I have a few questions maybe i could get some help.
Should i have more flow in the brood stock tank? This is a 30 gallon tank divided into 3 so 10 gallons each.If i need more flow should i buy small powerheads and put in with the pairs. Or should i look into a larger return vs power heads?
Also if you could check out :30 and 8:20 of the video. The fish have been cleaning off the tile and passing over it more and more. Does anyone see sure signs of activity that i am missing from my inexperience?
pretty much , watch my video tell me your opinion on what i need to do to help these guys follow throu
thanks r2r fam

What's keeping those tiles from sliding down and killing the clownfish? If the answer is just friction, you are eventually going to lose some broodstock. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Here is an old video I found of my clowns cleaning prior to laying a nest. They do this non-stop, obsessively for about 24 hours prior to laying a nest. What you are witnessing is a good sign that they are learning to work together, but it's not cleaning. There isn't an imminent spawn. You'll know when they are cleaning. thank you jason for the info,
Your right they arent "cleaning" but like you said they are working together and learning.the tile is held up by a lip on the plastic piece on the back wall. however, i will keep in mind what you said about the tile falling and get that issue resolved, im sure they can get rowdy. What about flow ? should i be worried about not having enough flow? or should i add some locline so i can direct where the flow goes within the tank?

I like flow. I think helps aerate the eggs during incubation in addition to recreating a more natural environment. I have a feeling that if you are asking our opinion that you've already concluded that the flow is inadequate. Go with your gut on this and get some more current in there! good luck.

I would definitely increase the flow. Just from viewing the vid it seems like there is little to no flow and that will cause a lot of detritus and require you to do way too much syphoning/maintenance to those stalls. You want enough flow to keep the majority of the waste moving but just know that you probably won't be able to prevent dead spots. An occasional turkey baster helps with the dead spots.
