Viral Lymph on CBB from copper?

Updating to get more identification/confirmation.

The CBB looked like it was doing ok. Was exploring the tank, and picked at rocks here and there, but was noticeably weak swimming last night - would float backwards even in lower flow areas and then swim forward.

This morning I found it on the bottom on its side breathing hard (like it’s exhausted).

I pulled it out and put it in my QT that I have chromis currently in - it tried to swim, although it looked disabled swimming contorted and sideways. I went to try and prep some baby brine to pipe directly into its mouth but by the time I got back it had passed.

Here are the pics of both sides to see if there’s more of an ID that can be made.

I’m hoping this is only the case and it didn’t ship with something after being QTd from the seller.

It did ship with beatings already (first post), but maybe I should have turned the flow of the tank down because it might have gotten more beat up after it was too exhausted to run from anyone? No one was really going after it whenever I was viewing the tank - only initially my bigger male angel did - but it never nipped at it, only “punked” it and then after the initial 30 minute intro into the tank, I never seen it go towards it again.

I did not realize from the initial post that the injuries were on both sides of the CBB. What's obvious here is that the fish had sustained some serious damage.

It could all be due to aggression, but the sores look a bit similar to uronema.

I expect Jay or vette will have an opinion on that.

As had been discussed earlier, the fish was very thin also. While uronema is deadly, it is not contagious. But, if not eating, this fish was already in a high-risk condition.

Thank you. I was also thinking possible uronema, but they weren’t red and looked more like healing wounds. They are from a well known full QT seller and he uses Formalin. He has already been proactive and is sending me a new one, so fingers crossed. It seems he QTs the CBB in batches together and so they do fight each other while in QT.

Sorry to see. The fin damage was almost certainly from another fish, but it could have happened after the CBB became weakened. This white lesions just don’t look like Uronema to me…but they were likely the root cause of this.
