Vitamin C dosing and PH / Alk

I Dont know 100% but Vitamin c Should actually raise Alk Considering its an acid.

Depends on what you dose. Sodium ascorbate or ascorbic acid. The former boosts alk. All organic dosing lowers pH a bit, but ascorbic acid will lower it more at the start and less later than sodium ascorbate.

No. Ascorbic acid won't boost alk when first added. Acids generally lower alk. Short term ascrobic acid lowers it a bit. Long term it has no effect or possibly a slight rise if nitrate drops.
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
