I have a regular vlamingi tang, he's about 2 1/2 years. He started out about damsel size and now he's about 7" long. They grow fast

Vlamingi doesn’t really have a horn. It’s known as the big nose naso tang. Google a few pictures and you’ll understand.

I saw a video once of a guy with an outdoor 1,200 gallon tank... he complained it was too small for the Unicorn Tang he had in it. See it, I kind of agreed. :(

They grow half the size of the bottom door leading to the skimmer. Well, atleast thats what I think...

Oh! Thanks for that but honestly they grow for 25 years so... And my juvenile is 1 yr old
Google vlamingi as I suggested and you’ll see plenty of pictures of mature specimens. Decide for yourself whether they have ‘horns” lol.

Each variety is super-cool. Has anyone gone to Epocot (at Disney) and seen them in their full glory? Mesmerizing!

I've kept the N. unicornis, but it was already an adult so I can't help with that question, but this is about as big of a hump as vlamangii's get. Adults will look cramped even in a 2,000 gal.

Oh my! I wonder how 'princess'(the unicorn tang, as we named him/her) is going to fit in my 180 gallon tank..
