Vodka dosing

Hello everyone, I hope all are well. My nitrates are very high I have a mixed reef tank quite a few fish I’ve always had a nitrate issue at times over feeding corals I thought I would try buying a dosing machine and using vodka, I’ve been watching videos it seems to work start off extremely low. But my question is this is it .1ml every hr or just .1ml once a day? I haven’t bought anything yet.
