Hello,

I purchased a used Vortech backup battery that appears to have had the internal battery replaced. I purchased a new power source to charge the battery but was wondering how I would know when/ if the battery is fully charged? Do I keep the power source plugged into the backup battery at all times?

Thanks all!

Ben

Yes, I just leave it plugged in all the time. I have two mp10s and backup is connected to one of them. It just saved my tank when there was an outage couple days ago overnight. Not sure if changing internal battery changes anything with how you use it though.

I use a BatteryTender on a large deep cycle AGM battery for my Vortech backup. The cells are designed to be float charged.
