Sweet deal for someone. I am looking for a skimmer with a pump outside of the skimmer body. I have been so impressed with the DC Reef Octopus. So i am going for something like a elite 150 or 200 int. The mp40 has been used for 6 months by me and me alone. Never above 40% as it’s on a FOWLR tank. Hasn’t been in the aquarium long enough for corraline or anything to build up on it. The reef octopus skimmer is amazing but i want to get even more efficiency with an outside the skimmer model. I am giving up the mp40 only because i just bought an apex with two apex powerheads so no need for it. This is a 550$ skimmer and a 349$ ph brand new.
