I'm trying to decide between two Vortech MP40s or two Maxspect XF350s for a 48" x 30" x 20" peninsula tank (with pumps on the short end of the tank only).

For those with experience with these pumps, how do they compare? More specifically:

1. Sound (which is quieter?)
2. Performance (which would work better for SPS/anemone tank in peninsula config)
3. Maintenance (My old XF130 was very fickle and needed constant cleaning, but how bad is maintenance for XF350 these days vs MP40s?)

I'd go with the Maxspect even after accounting for the maintenance issues. I'm no longer satisfied with Vortech pumps as I feel the laminar flow is way too focused.
