Watched tags?

I've never had a watched tag trigger. What's the secret handshake? I'm referring to the "watched tags" link on the toolbar. I'm not sure about the alerts, I may need to better control them, the number I receive is overwhelming.

All you pretty much have to do is click on a hashtag and select "Watch Tag".

Bottom left of the home screen shows “trending” tags if you want to take a look.

Yep, that's what I thought. The few i tagged like reefsquad should be active, but nothing in maybe 2 months or so.
