hey everyone... i recently traded for a nuvo 16gal and i built a LED fixture using Steves LEDs and it looks good. its been up and running with cycled water from my 90gal. corals are still adjusting to the new lights but i noticed the tank gets much dirtier than the 29gal biocube i had. i even have a nano powerhead to help circulate. is a nano this difficult to keep clean? ive cleaned it twice and did a water change this week. 2 days later looks the same! im using it for a frag tank and mainly have Zoas and Palys so i really cant add a large powerhead. should i upgrade the return pump to something twice as strong? ive moved most things back into biocube and left a hand full in nuvo to see if it will even out. there are no fish, just frags. thanx

Lil idea on what your water is doing would help. Phosphates and Nitrates to be precise. But, are you running a skimmer on it? Using cycled water will not normally cycle your tank for you, as most of the bacteria is in the rocks. So you may be in a cycle and your trying to get rid of Diatoms? That will go away by themselves in time.

What exactly do you mean by dirty? Algae on the side glass? My guess would be like the above. A small cycle is going on.
