Hello, I’m a new reefer and recently set up a Fiji cube 38 gallon peninsula rimless aio tank. I’m having trouble keeping the water level high in the return chamber. Not sure if my pump is too strong or if my water level in the whole tank is off? I have the pump speed set to 8 out of 100 and the water still seems low. Any help would be appreciated!

Did it slowly get to that level over time or has it always been at that level?

If it got there slowly over time, you need to replenish with RODI water due to evaporation.

If it has always been at that level, just add more saltwater and increase the pump speed to the level you want. Pump running faster = water in that chamber gets lower. Don't fill it too high, leave some room because when the pump turns off that chamber will fill with some water. That's just the design of an AIO.

It’s always been that level, I have an ATO set up just took it out for the picture. If I add more water to the display section the water in the return chamber should go up?

Yes, if you add water to the display that chamber will fill with water, it will take a few seconds until you see the water rise after adding. You can also pour water directly into that chamber to get it to the level you want.

Not sure where the level should be, but you can always contact Fiji Cube and ask them what their recommended water level for the return chamber should be.

Oh okay gotcha, I’ll try adding a bit more to the display. When I add it to that chamber it just pumps it out and returns to that level. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah just keep adding water either way and you will see that chamber rise.
