Got a tank for free ...YAAAA.. It's an acrylic hex 55 gal. It's been sitting unused for years in the back of a storage unit. Obviously, I got to water test the hell out of this before bring it into the house let alone setting up as SW.

So figured I set it up on the back porch fill with hose water for a few weeks....and see what happens.
Which leads to the issue with mosquitoes...we have enough around here already.

I use mosquito bits...in my pond and down in the back back of the yard where it stays soft. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001AUF8G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Active ingredient is a bacteria "Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis"
I have no problems with it in my FW goldfish n one koi pond... doesnt seem to harm the fish or amphibians still have tons of frogs!(literally have to watch where you step)

IF I put this in this tank for the WTest....rinse it out...set it up as SW. I'm not going to have some weird issue I over looked 6 months or whatever from now?

I dont think so...but thought I best ask before doing.

Marine fish are exponentially more sensitive to chemicals then their FW counter parts. You want to add coral up goes to the sensitively. Although I'm not familiar with the active compound you have listed if it were me personally I would not risk it getting into the silicone seems and ruining the tank for SW.

Two better options would be throwing an air stone in the tank and use a air pump to keep water circulating. Or dump a gallon of bleach into the tank. Bleach won't ruin the tank. It may evaporate out of the water over time and at that point pour some more bleach in. When you get ready to clean the tank give it a real good rinse and your good to go. The tank may smell a tad like bleach when it's empty even after a rinse but not likely it's nothing to worry about. Any very small amount that may be left after a thorough rinse will either be converted into NaCl (salt) when you add the salt water to the tank and/or evaporate out long before you add any sort of live stock.

Beats me! but I gave you two safe options anyways maybe someone with more knowledge on the bacteria you speak of will chime in.

There should be no silicone seams in an acrylic tank. That said just put a couple of misquito fish or common guppies in the tank until you are ready to break it down. Sometimes called top water minnows.
